Against a backdrop of rising population growth in Sub-Saharan Africa and depressing yields from smallholder farmers, the pressure on food import budgets is increasing. This study emphasizes the pressing need for the inclusion of SHFs in the marketplace and explores the role of technology in agriculture, highlighting its capacity to create a more inclusive marketplace by plugging information gaps, enhancing market access, and facilitating financial inclusion.
