Reproduced verbatim — this is the demand, in the submitter's own words.
How can a digital intelligence layer integrate fragmented trade information across compliance, documentation, finance, supply chains, markets and customs into actionable intelligence for facilitating compliant and efficient intra-African trade under the AfCFTA? African businesses and trade-support actors face fragmented and continuously changing information across trade regulations, compliance requirements, documentation, finance, supply chains, markets, customs and border procedures. Although digital systems increasingly address individual trade functions, the information they generate remains dispersed across institutions, platforms and jurisdictions, making it difficult for businesses—particularly MSMEs—to determine where viable markets exist, whether products qualify for preferential treatment, what requirements and documents apply, how transactions should be financed and transported, and how to navigate border procedures. This fragmentation creates information, compliance and coordination costs that can constrain the practical realization of AfCFTA market opportunities. The problem ATIN addresses is therefore the absence of an interoperable digital intelligence layer that can connect, contextualize, verify and operationalize information across these trade functions, transforming fragmented data and regulatory knowledge into actionable trade pathways and transaction intelligence.
